Brians New Friend
5th December 2010 - Brian Harvey
"The Chippendoubles" recorded the Christmas song "A Christmas Cowell" in the course of a Charity project. All proceeds of the song are to aid the charity organization CLIC Sargent which helps children with cancer.
The group is well known for their performances at Britain's got Talent (a British casting show) and consists of several well-known celebrity doubles (such as Simon Cowell, David Beckham). Brian immediately agreed to support the project. Even his puppy Lola participates in the music video.
The song is going to be released on Monday, December 13th and will be available for download at all popular online music stores. Help to make "A Christmas Cowell" a 2010 Christmas hit and thereby aid children suffering cancer!

East 17...The "Creme Brulee" of the 90's
15th November 2010 -
Our affiliate "Radio Creme Brulee" [a Boston-based internet music radio station that showcases the best music of today and yesterday from both sides of the Atlantic] says "that East 17's "Thunder" is the number one listener-rated "retro" track of the week for this past week. This is particularly noteworthy because most of the station's listeners are American and East 17 was never promoted in this country. Here is the link to our weekly retro top 5. It is a sign of what "could have been" if this band had been promoted in the US back in the 90s." Head over to Radio Creme Brulee and help keep East 17 on top! Remember, the bigger the fan base the BIGGER the comeback.

London 2 Birghton Bike Ride 2010
13th May 2010 - Tony Mortimer
Hey Guys.
In June 2010 we will be embarking on one of the most grueling bike rides in the uk. Both of us & our familys have lost loved ones to heart problems, we also had a good friend have a heart attack in may 2009... he was only 27. so we thought it was a great way to help fund research into heart conditions.
The London to Brighton Bike Ride is the UK 's largest charity bike ride with 27,000 riders cycling the 54 mile scenic route between London and Brighton on the south coast. While 54 miles may not sound a lot, this may help you understand how far it really is: Dover to Calais across the English channel is only 24 miles.......we are starting to worrying now... lol
Since 1980 when the BHF first became involved with the London to Brighton Bike Ride, over 650,000 riders have taken
part in the event and more than £40 million has been raised to help fund pioneering research, patient care and vital information.
We are really determined to do this ride we will also ride rather than walk up ditchling beacon, if you are unaware what this is. well its a very steep hill approximately 1 mile up. The hill is so steep that many cyclist reach speeds of over 40 mph on the decent.
We're not gonna keep going on and on, but if you need any more info you can log onto www.bhf.org.uk
Guys, somewhere down the line you will know, be friends, or love someone who will suffer from heart problems...... please help us to help these people. where you think your money wont make a difference......... Please know it will.
many thanks for reading this and if you are making a donation please just click on the link below.
If your not, please don’t regret it later on in life.

East 17 star's Norfolk film
17th April 2010 - EveningNews24
A movie starring former East 17 pop star Brian Harvey and veteran comedian Ken Dodd seems an unlikely proposition.
And the mundane locations chosen for the short, zany film shot around the coastal villages of Hopton and Corton add an even more bizarre twist: a garage alongside the A12, the restaurant of The Hut pub in Corton, even an empty office at Potters Leisure Resort.
The still-to-be-shot grand finale being plotted by film-maker Trevor Fuller will involve plastering the walls of the newly built studio in his rural garden with fake blood for a massacre scene: the characters played by Mr Harvey and Nikki Lee, a glamour model known to late-night satellite television viewers, ending up dead on the floor.
For Mr Fuller, 34, the 10-minute creation which he is targeting at film festivals from humble local events all the way up to Cannes and Edinburgh, embodies the ingenuity and - he admits - “bare-faced cheek” required to break into the world of movies when operating on a shoestring.
He was lucky that he was already a friend of Mr Harvey and had shot the video for his most recent single, Going Backwardz.
In the case of the Scouse comic legend, it was a case of impudently ringing his agent and asking him to appear in a cameo role as a favour - Mr Dodd duly obliging after his weekend appearance at Potters.
For a number of years Mr Fuller, of Dorking Road, Hopton, combined photography, video production and music recording with his “real job” as an advertising representative on the Waveney Advertiser.
However, four years ago he decided to channel all his energies into his company, The Departure Lounge, and film making gradually became the focus of its attention.
Mr Fuller, who has shot the film with another local cameraman, Dale Beaumont-Smith, of Bradwell, wrote the comic script with his friend Kyle Mace, of Worlingham, near Beccles.
The plot revolves around a jealous boyfriend (actor Mark Margason, from Diss) becoming convinced his partner (Nikki Lee) is having an affair with his best friend (Brian Harvey).
He said: “When we were shooting near the Somerfield garage in Hopton at the weekend, it was amazing how many motorists stopped to watch, recognising Brian and asking for his autograph.”
And Sunday lunchtime diners in The Hut, in Corton, had also quickly clocked the man from Essex. Mr Dodd was filmed at Potters.

Brian Confirms Split
22nd February 2010 - Brian Harvey
Hi everyone,
I regret to inform you all that the rumors of East 17 splitting up are true. After speaking with terry and john, we came to the decision that we would no longer work together anymore.
I would like to say thank you to terry and john for sticking with it for as long as they did, god knows it hasnt been easy for us, and i think if im honest, that its been the constant knock backs and bad publicity that has knocked everyones confidence in believing that we can still make it, but now, it really is over, and im absolutly gutted.
Towards the end i really felt like we were all brothers, and had been thru so much pain together, i thought nothing would break us, but it has and that day when East 17 finally ends has come.
Lastly, i would like to thank tony mortimer for letting me in the band in the first place. i have had some very interesting years, seen a lot of stuff that i would not have if it had not been for East 17, some good, some bad but i wouldnt change one thing. in my head this has all been for a reason, it has changed my views of the world that i live in and i finally feel that im ready to put everything i have learned to the test and see if i have what it takes cos i love music and i will keep making it to the best of my ability for as long as it takes.
I want to thank all of our loyal fans for your support thru the years, REMEMBER YOU MADE US WHAT WE WERE AND I THANK YOU FOR THAT BECAUSE YOU MADE EAST 17 MASSIVE, BIGGER THAN I EVER THOUGHT IT COULD BE. YOU HAVE BEEN UNBELIEVABLE, AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH, YOU ALL MADE OUR LIVES EXCITING...
No love lost...
Brian
