THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS
Written by A. Mortimer
Who said that Christmas was only for kids
We may think it isn't, but we all know it is
Don't forget the sad ones, the poor ones and the rest
Let's all come together and make this one the best
Here's the gift of Christmas
The world at it's best
We mustn't forget
Why the gift of Christmas
Can help remind us
Remember the rest
Don't forget the child when born was showered in gifts
How quickly we forget just what Christmas is
The wisemen and the shepherds, they started up this thing
So long it's been tradition, make sure it doesn't end
Another child dies while mama cries
Wise are the eyes that realise, like sunrise
Keep growing and showing
And while the tears they keep flowing
They're never knowing where the other meal come from
So we jumped off the rock to give back with a track
It's so easy to help and help is the fact
Cos while the turkey you're carving, could be a child starving
We all need a lift and love is a free gift
Now at Christmas time everybody sing
Make all the children smile and grin
Some of them small, some of them look thin
All they need is a little loving
So all of the people just keep moving
Once a year you have to give something
Christmas time and it just begin
Watch how the children start dancing
