WAKEY! WAKEY! (1995)


Ooh, it's a hard life being a pop star.... Nonstop tours, staying in "luxury" hotel rooms... But what do the star's rooms look like after a few days on the road? Well, just lookey who we found this fine morning...

TONY'S ROOM
What's in it? Big room, small bog, one bag of stuff ("I couldn't pack all my stuff into a matchbox!"). Gideon bible ("Do you wanna quote? 'The wise in heart are discerning and pleasant words promote instruction.")
Worst hotel: "It was a hotel in the north of Sweden and was more remote than a remote control. It was absolutely freezing. Even with quilt on we were cold and we all ended up getting flu. It was like a cabin. The place was called something like Feelderskowsker. It was like Narnia."
Worst mess you've left room in: "I got sick all over my bed in Bangkok."
Regular room service order: "Ham and tomato toasties.
Have you ever been thrown out? "A hotel near the Top Of The Pops studio. The manager came up and said 'We've had complaints and you're going to have to leave.' I'd drunk a little bit too much Scotch the night before..."



JOHN'S ROOM
What's in it? One big bag full of clothes, black sweatshirt, black pants and black trainers on a side table, aftershave, Nivea lotion.
Best room: "One in Australia - it even had a jacuzzi in the bathroom."
Worst room: "This haunted castle place. My room was dead cold and the telly would turn itself off on it's own. The water was all dirty. I got out of there man. I slept on the floor in Brian and Terry's room!"
Regular room service order: "Chicken and chips."
Have you ever stolen anything from your room? "We're not like that, we'd only have to pay for it later.



TERRY'S ROOM
What's in it? Medium sized room, medium sized bog, a new double pack of Adidas socks, his girlfriend, two big bags full of clothes.
Worst room: "Somewhere up North in the sticks. Me and Brian had to share a room. The hot water was cold. It was like this old haunted castle. When we got there, this woman told us that the people who owned it before had died and there was a ghost there."
Regular room service order: "Chicken, chips and mayo."
Have you ever stolen anything from your room? "I took a pillow case once. I just shoved it in my bag 'cos we were gonna go on a long trip. I though, yeah, the pillow will be cool man. We were going to somewhere like Devon."



BRIAN'S ROOM
What's in it? Daniella Westbrook, matching toothbrushes, half-eaten plate of chips, clothes strewn around.
Regular room service order: "Loads of food. When I go to Germany, I can't eat the cheese or drink the milk - it tastes funny."
Ever wrecked a room?
"I smashed a room up once. Me and John piled all this stuff up and just kicked it in when we left. I dunno. I just felt like being destructive."
